Industrial visit to NABI Mohali

BSc. Biotech students of Department of biotechnology, CCT landran participated in Industrial Visit organised by the Institute on 14.09.2019. Students visited National Agri food biotechnology institute, Mohali. Students participated in The Nobel Prize Museum highlights how Nobel Laureates have made the world a better place – showcasing discoveries and achievements that have saved lives, fed humanity, connected people and protected the planet. The purpose of the visit was to educate students about the highly equipped lab and instrumentation of biotechnology. The informative round started with the introductory lecture by Dr. Kaushik later the students were demonstrated the function of Mass spectroscopy, HPLC, GC-MS and MALDI-TOF by the officiating person. These all are highly sophisticated instruments and high in demand for industry and research areas. Then the student had a look in Plant tissue culture lab where they learnt the basic micropropogation and commercial application of plant tissue culturing. This visit will not only clear their subjective doubts but also make them more suitable and unique candidate for better placements
